Mission

The purpose of the Triathlon Club is to unite students and faculty in order to help them understand how the sport of triathlon can help them lead healthier lives, physically and mentally. In doing so the club intends to educate its members to train smarter and harder together, in hopes to reduce injury throughout the triathlon season. This club will consist of members training for overall health and those that intend to compete in competitions as a club team at the University.

The Triathlon Club at the University of Tennessee is a USAT sanctioned club and will compete in the USAT South Eastern Region Conference. Team points will be accumulated during five USAT sanctioned competitions, three of which must be attended. Members are encouraged, but not required, to participate in the sport of triathlon and team events. Involvement in the USAT “season” is strictly voluntary. Opportunities for the members to give back to the community and the sport of triathlon will be available via scheduled Community service and race events.
